A lot of items seem to be shrinking recently. This is one example.
Same price, very different size. Instead of just charging people more, the buyer just gets less. The scary bit is that it’s really well hidden with other products. Are the public being fleeced? Time will tell I guess.
At least I can still get a Peperami – even if it is a funsize one. 😀
Apologies about the quality of the image. Failed experiment.

Picture three in the photo journal continues the pound coin story arc. I know, its riveting stuff isn’t it?
Ladies and Gents the new pound coin. It’s new, it’s shiny, it’s not going to be noteworthy a month from now as we’ll all be using them for the next decade or so!
Meh.

Post number two in the photo journal, not a bad start!
This is her majesty at her workshop today. I was there to help out but I just ended up playing about with my camera. As long as I make sure I’m not underfoot, it’s all good. 🙂

This is the first photo journal entry, let’s see how long I can keep this up!
To me, it makes sense to begin with an object that is soon to become obsolete. If you’re going to start anything you should understand that all things end. In this case; the £1 coin. No longer threatened by the Euro as our currency the pound it could be argued is enjoying its moment of primacy. Just when it thought it was safe however, the new pound coin was announced!
When I get my hands on the new coin, I’ll have to learn how to flip it across my knuckles again. Thanks Bank of England! 🙂

Above is a short video I shot on the plane just over a year ago when we were heading out to Colorado for the International Snow Sculpture Championships. It’s not an exciting video but it is a video of the first takeoff I’d been on since a Canada trip last century.
To call me a nervous flyer I is a mild understatement. I had no intention of ever setting foot on anything that was heading skyward again, ever. Circumstances of course conspired against me and back I was on a plane. Medication is a wonderful thing!
