You’re never quite finished moving…

Oops! Sorry its been so long since I last fired a post up here. As you probably guessed, I was moving home and had a bit of a broadband drought while that was going on.

Speaking of that, its a very strange place to be when you’ve got used to having broadband, lots of TV channels and so on then you lose them all. We had four terrestrial TV channels and a very fuzzy Channel 5 as entertainment. No broadband or landline meant things were just as basic on that front too. I had no idea how much I used the broadband at the old place until I lost it moving to the new one. Weird!

The two bits of furniture (it felt that way anyhow) that we own are in the new place but we’re still pretty much living out of cardboard boxes for now until we can get all the various bits and bobs together and start filling the shelves we don’t yet have with the stuff we already do! 😀

Now the broadband and cable (YES CABLE! AT LAST!) are in, all I need to do now is find a place to set up my PC properly. I do miss my little bat cave at the old place. I’ll build it bigger and better at this new one!

Yep, we’re moving!

Well, all the credit checks are done and passed. We’ve looked at all the insurance and so on and we’re good to go for the move.

As it stands, we’re still on for the 1st November move date that we had in mind so its only going to be a couple of weeks now. I’m not going to lie, I’m more than a little nervous about the move and settling down in a new place. The place is bigger than our current place though, so that’s a bonus!

I’ll give you some more updates when move time comes, might even get my camera out so be warned!! 😀

Looks like we’re moving!

Rather fitting that this is my 100th post, I thought I’d let you know what’s been going on.

Its all been kicking off here at home, Her Majesty and I have been looking for a bigger place for a little while (never really that seriously) but we’ve only gone and found one we like! The credit checks and all that stuff are going on at the moment and we’ve got a move in date of 1st November. Its not impossible that my next posts will be from my new abode, we’ll see about that but its looking good! 🙂

I’ll post more news when I have it.

Yes, I’m a hypocrite!

OK, in keeping with WordPress being an open source web publishing platform with numerous online free resources, I bought a book to help me start fiddling with themes and stuff.

Yes themes, you know? The thing pretty much any WordPress design website teaches you about…… Um, for free… Hypocrite or sucker, take your pick!!

What can I say? I prefer books!! 🙂

Didn’t Button do Well

It’s been ages since I last posted anything F1 related, I can hear the groans from you now!

I just wanted to say congrats to the Ferrari boys at Monza over the weekend and definitely make a note of saying how well Button drove. Yep, this is me, praising the driving of a McLaren driver. Try sitting down, it’ll help.

Having picked out what can only be considered the least likely of the possible aero packages (high downforce at a track that’s 70% full throttle?) he not only made it work, he did a fantastic job of showing that manoeuvrability can work even on low downforce tracks too.

Obviously, Ferrari had a quicker car on the straights but Jenson managed to play a blinder, in the end beaten by the Ferrari pit crew not Alonso on track. That’s quite something when you think about it.
