You can still tell its a crane but I thought I’d go for something a little more abstract for today’s photograph. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Another fun day at the allotment. It’s hard to believe we’ve only had the place since Tuesday, we’ve put the work in and it’s starting to show. There’s a ton more to do though!
Today’s photo is of Her Majesty hard at work. Me? I was sitting in a chair enjoying the sunshine! 🙂
The bench hooks worked out great but the dovetails need a ton of work before I can think of building anything. I’m learning though, slowly but surely.

Next on my list of fun activities* is learning how to cut dovetails. All my chisels are new however so I’ll be spending most of my time getting them true first I think. I’ve got the timber though so that’s a start. Once I’ve got a better idea of how bad I am, I can work out how long it’ll be before I can make a box or two. We’ll see.
*The term “Fun” may turnout to be sarcasm.
